I've known what I wanted to do since the 5th grade... journalism. Ever since, I've been dedicated to fulfilling that childhood dream.
Most recently, I joined the team at WJCL 22 News in Savannah, GA. I started in April 2022, while a junior at Georgia Southern University. Since then, I've covered some of the biggest stories from Southeast Georgia and the South Carolina Lowcountry. During my sophomore year in college, I founded and spent 11 months conceptualizing, securing $34,000 in initial funding, building an 18-person team for and organizing all aspects of a brand new OTT-focused video news outlet producing a weekly newscast called Your Newsroom. Prior to that, I was editor-in-chief of The George-Anne, the flagship student newspaper. Leading 13 reporters, I oversaw all news coverage and personally contributed investigative content leading to over 512,000+ page views in one academic year, a publication record. It didn't just start in college. My freshmen year of high school, I created a morning news show, securing two Student Emmys. As a junior and senior, I went on to work for Gwinnett County Public Schools TV spotlighting the good news from Georgia's largest public school district. I also interned with FOX News' "America's Newsroom" writing readers and pitching stories daily. Take a look at some of my work and let's talk soon! |
